The mud set hard and kept their footprints \u2014 hundreds of them \u2014 making this one of the largest sites of ancient human footprints in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Walking beside the tracks, you can see where people ran, walked together and changed direction thousands of years ago.
