A boma is a Maasai family homestead: a ring of houses built by the women from wood, mud and dung, around an enclosure where the cattle sleep at night. Our guides are Maasai from the area and will introduce you to a family they know.
You will be welcomed with songs, see inside a home, learn how the herds shape daily life, and watch the famous jumping dance. The women sell their beadwork directly, so your purchase goes straight to the family.
